ABOUT ME
From designer to photographer
I’m Cindy, a photographer with a studio in Zaandam, working in the Amsterdam area and throughout the Netherlands. I love powerful, true-to-colour, high-contrast images. My work is clear, natural and speaks for itself.
My background is in design. After graduating from the Academy of Fine Arts in Maastricht I spent almost twenty years as a bag designer with my own studio. Photography was always there in the background and slowly grew into my greatest passion. I then trained as a professional photographer and studied Conceptual Photography at the Fotoacademie in Amsterdam.
That foundation means I look further than the photo alone. I think along on concept and production, and push things through where needed. Not a set of separate images, but a complete and coherent whole.
You don’t need to know exactly what you’re after beforehand. Working that out and turning it into strong images is exactly what I’m good at!
